Abstract Submission Guidelines – POSS 2026
We are delighted to invite researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to submit abstracts for presentation at the Precision Oncology Saudi Summit (POSS 2026), taking place from February 12–14, 2026, in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

Submission Deadline: Monday, December 01, 2025 (by 4:00 PM GMT).
Please read the following information carefully before submitting your abstract.

Author Submission Guidelines
To ensure your abstract meets the evaluation criteria, please follow these guidelines:
1. New research projects are highly encouraged. However, studies presented or published after April 30, 2024 are also eligible.
2. All abstracts must be written in English using clear, professional language.
3. Select the most appropriate category for your submission.
4. Abstracts must include the following four sections:
o Background / Objectives
o Materials and Methods
o Results
o Conclusions
5. Abstracts are limited to 300 words, excluding title, author names, and keywords. Graphs, tables, and images are not allowed.
6. Abstracts must be submitted online through the official conference website only.
7. Submission Deadline: Saturday, December 31, 2025, by 4:00 PM GMT. Late submissions will not be accepted.
8. Please clearly indicate the presenting author and list all co-authors with full names and affiliations.
9. The corresponding author must confirm all co-authors approve the submission and that there is no conflict of interest.
10. Do not use proprietary (brand) names alone; include generic names first, with brand names in parentheses if necessary.
11. Vague statements such as “Results will be discussed” are unacceptable and will lead to rejection.
12. Case reports will not be considered for oral presentation.
13. Oral presentation selections will be made by the Scientific Committee. Their decision is final and will be communicated to the corresponding author.
14. Accepted abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be invited for poster display during the summit. Poster sessions will be open for public and reviewer engagement.

Authors’ Declaration
By submitting an abstract, the authors agree to the following:
• All listed authors have approved the abstract for submission and presentation.
• The work is original, and the authors are responsible for its content.
• The presenting author will adhere to the submitted abstract content during the presentation.
• The copyright of the abstract is transferred to the POSS 2026 Scientific Committee.
• Any changes regarding the presenting author or abstract withdrawal must be communicated promptly.
• Clinical studies reported have obtained proper institutional or governmental approvals.

Cancellations
To withdraw a submitted abstract, the principal author must send an official cancellation request via email no later than January 10, 2026. Cancellations must be submitted using the same email address used for the original submission.

General guidelines

  1. Abstracts submitted should not have been previously published or presented at another meeting. 
  2. Accepted abstracts will be included in the POSS 2026 programme
  3. The presenting author will be required to present the abstract in one of the following abstract sessions
    1. Oral presentation
    2. Poster presentation
  4. The POSS programme committee will decide on allocation into the session.
  5. Clinical cases are a detailed report of symptoms, signs, diagnosis and management, including follow-up where appropriate of an individual patient or a series of patients. This may contain the demographics of the patient. However, there should be no patient-identifiable data in the presentation. These cases are usually considered for unusual or novel occurrences or to describe a new way of problem-solving. 

Preparing your abstract

Abstracts must be written in the format provided described below.

  1. It should be written in English and submitted in MS Word or PowerPoint format.
  2. Abstracts should be no more than 300 words (excluding abstract title, authors, tables or figures and references)
  3. The abstract should include the title, authors, and main text. 
  4. Title 

It should be an accurate description of the study. The title should be no more than 10- 12 words long. The title should not be in capital letters. 

  1. Authors 

The abstract should include all authors’ full names and email IDs. The author who will present the abstract should be listed first. All authors listed should have carried out the study, conceived it, designed it, collected data, analysed and written the abstract. Every author listed should have read and approved the abstract before submission.

  • Main text 

Please try and follow the below structure for the main text. 

  1. Why did you do the study? – introduction or background
  2. What did you try to do? – Aims and Objectives
  3. What did you do? – Methodology
  4. What were your findings? – Results
  5. What do the study outcomes mean? – Conclusion.
  6. References – should be no more than three and add if it is only necessary and add value to your manuscript.
  1.  Tables and figures – no more than one table. Maximum of two figures. Any pictures submitted should be at least 300 dpi in resolution.

Writing tips.

  1. Use simple sentences. 
  2. Format all the numbers exactly the same.
  3. Present only information relevant to the study’s aims and objectives.
